Behold, our Leader of the Month
At The GracedLife Leadership Centre, leadership is not a title. It is a journey. And because growth cannot be left to guesswork, we built the LeaderMeter, a simple, powerful system that turns daily habits into measurable progress.
Each month, the LeaderMeter shines a light on how well our aspiring leaders are living the values we teach, and more importantly, the values they themselves pledge to uphold in their communities. Every day, cohort members log their actions across seven key metrics that capture the DNA of servant leadership.
Scores accumulate daily, translate into percentages, and roll up into a monthly average for each leader and for the cohort as a whole. It is transparent, motivating, and mercifully free of corporate jargon.
April's standout performer
This April, Adepa, Emmanuel Agbenyo of Cohort 2025, set the bar high with an impressive ninety-one percent average across all seven LeaderMeter metrics, earning him Leader of the Month honours.
His numbers tell a story of consistency. But the real headline is what he is doing with that consistency. He leads at Muna Kalati, a Pan-African literacy project aimed at igniting a love for reading among children from Accra to Addis Ababa.
Why little wins matter
Progress often hides in plain sight. By pausing to honour milestones, like Adepa's April achievement, we reinforce three essential truths for every TGLC leader.
- Growth is visible when you track it. Data sparks reflection and course correction. What you measure, you can improve.
- Momentum loves recognition. Public applause fuels private persistence. Seen effort sustains itself.
- Individual victories lift the collective. Adepa's ninety-one percent raises the standard, and the spirits, of his peers.

The TGLC LeaderMeter
In the work
Seven daily habits, the DNA of servant leadership
Every day, cohort members log their actions across the seven metrics below. Each is small on its own. Together, they shape the leader. Scores are logged daily, translated into percentages and averaged monthly.
- Initiative. Spotting needs and problems, and acting before being asked.
- Integrity. Keeping promises, even when no one is watching.
- Commitment to Vision. Pushing personal and collective goals forward.
- Adaptability. Adjusting quickly when circumstances shift.
- Problem-Solving. Turning obstacles into opportunities.
- Self-Monitoring. Measuring wins and losses with honest reflection.
- Continuous Learning. Feeding curiosity through books, mentors, and experiments.
Looking ahead
May's scoreboard has already started ticking. Cohort members are reviewing feedback, resetting micro-goals, and doubling down on areas that need work. That is the rhythm of the LeaderMeter. Learn, adjust, advance. Month after month.
Keep stacking the small, daily wins
To Emmanuel Agbenyo, congratulations. Your ninety-one percent is not just a number on a scoreboard. It is a quiet testimony to the kind of leader the continent has been waiting for. The one who shows up. The one who tracks his own growth. The one who chooses to be measured.
To every TGLC leader still climbing toward your own April, keep going. The continent's future is forged in moments exactly like these.
